Dallas native, Suzy Rossol Matheson, MA, ADTR, NCC, received a BFA in Dance Performance at Southern Methodist University and an MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Minor in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene,  NH.  Suzy is currently a registered dance/movement therapist through the American Dance Therapy Association, and a certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors.  She also serves on the Advisory Board for the Dance Council and chairs the President position for the Texas Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association.  Suzy’s clinical experience as a dance/movement therapist began in 2000 and she has worked with a variety of populations and settings including the elderly, children, psychiatric, developmentally delayed,  rehabilitation, and substance abuse. 

Suzy has returned back to her hometown in Carrollton, TX with her  family to continue integrating her work as a dancer, teacher, and therapist to help people experience the healing power of movement.  She is currently working towards her LPC and LCDC licenses.  She is excited to be working as a dance/movement therapist for A.R.T.S. for People of Dallas, www.artsforpeople.org, as well as having her own dance/movement therapy practice through Movement Expressions, www.movementexpressions.com.
